What are YOU doing these days?? Summer vacation almost comes to its end :-(. I enjoyed my holidays in Scandinavia so much. But now the time has come to focus on getting a job. These days I'm practicing my surgery skills & consultations with my friend/vet to stay busy. I'm doing some job interviews also.

I'm all alone at home right now. Me & my doggie. And I'm so not used to :p, but I kinda enjoy myself. My parents are visiting Berlin, my sister is in Antwerp as usual and my bf is working late hours. Ok, gonna walk Peem now. BYE have a nice evening

Naar jaarlijkse gewoonte heb ik weer eens de nieuwe collecties van onze 2 populairste Belgische labels bekeken: Mer du Nord en Essentiel Anwerp. Beide merken bereiken steeds een groot publiek, zitten in dezelfde prijsklasse (mdn soms iets duurder) en staan garant voor kwaliteit.

Nu laten we de 2 eens vergelijken: Mdn vind ik persoonlijk ieder seizoen beter worden. Ze spelen steeds op veilig, dat wel, maar je weet telkens wat je mag verwachten: kwaliteit, klasse & comfort. Voor de modebewuste vrouw die van degelijke kledij houdt. Niet meer, niet minder. Mdn blijft trouw aan hun stijl en deze collectie vormt alweer een mooi nieuw geheel. Verrassend is het allemaal niet echt maar er zitten toch een aantal hebbedingetjes tussen zoals de fluwelen broeken, de botjes met pluche vanbinnen, de fushia poncho, het jagersgroene leder vestje en dat geruite hemdje zou wel eens mijn ideale ruitjeshemd kunnen worden (nog steeds op zoek naart ideale: ik wil een perfecte ruit in de perfecte stof :p). Kortom, een leuke collectie om een paar stukken uit te kopen en die dan te combineren met meer eigenzinnige dingen uit je kast om de outfit helemaal JOU te maken. Om helemaal in mdn gekleed te gaan...voor mij toch nét iets te braafjes...

En dan belanden we bij Essentiel Antwerp. Essentiel Antwerp is lang mijn favoriete Belgische mainstream merk geweest vanwege hun originaliteit en creativiteit, hun combinatie van prints en rijkelijke stoffen, de perfecte pasvorm van de jurkjes en rokjes, hun stoere leder vestjes en over het algemeen edgy look...Maar de laatste tijd vind ik het allemaal een beetje bergaf gaan. Neem nu de laatste collectie. Een beetje een rommeltje lijkt me. En absoluut geen geheel, de ene silhouette past totaal niet bij de andere en lijkt soms zelfs van een ander label. Waar is hier nog Essentiel Antwerp in terug te vinden? Soms deed het mij aan Mango & Zara denken zelfs. Maar dan van een paar jaar terug. Veel dingen werden hier herkauwd en zelfs schaamteloos gekopieerd van andere voorbijgane collecties.

I mean: clutches met studs, de leopard print, de berenmuts,...we hebben het allemaal wel gezien nu. Al helemaal irritant vind ik een gilet afgeboord met de 'chanel' ketting zoals in laatste foto. Een absolute nono voor mij. De vierde laatste foto is echt so wrong in alle opzichten: de kleurencombo?? t-shirt met verfspatten?? Ook veel van Isabel Marant gekopieerd precies: de boots met kriskrashespen en de 'hippie' bontjas in voorlaatste foto. Hmm ik pas!

Those days were so fun! My buddy Tom and I went to Brussels on Tuesday and visited the Summer of Photography exhibitions in the Bozar museum. I esp loved the work of photographer Roger Ballen (photo 4,5,7). Photo nr 7 is one of my favourites. It is called 'Partytime' and although it was a bit cruel, Tom & I couldn't stop laughing with that work and that title. The guy with the fluo clothes and the naked lady in the street were cool too. And those twins are like the african version of the one from 'the shining' no? If you are wondering why I'm sticking out my middle finger to those multicoloured piles: Brussels: I don't like them! And they are all over the city nooo.

Anyway...Yesterday I met Judith from Couture! She is so nice & cute, we just couldn't stop chatting :p. Judith ge zijt zo'n koddig kind!!! I will definitely meet her again.

Oooh so glad to be home!! But on the other side, i'm missing Scandinavia already! I know this road trip will be one of the best trips of my life. I guess I'm back home a bit too early as the Stockholm/Copenhagen fashion week starts around this time. I feel so inspired right now, I saw/visited so many beautiful things. I'll post the rest of my pictures soon + a Stockholm guide!! My top 3 of most wonderful scandinavian cities:

Then Oslo would be on number 4 and on number 5 Göthenburg. I was dissapointed when I visited Bergen, the second largest city of Norway. But I'll tell you later all about it.

This pair of trousers I bought in Copenhagen. High waisted, tied with a thin leather belt in the waist and cropped below: It is a very popular type in Sweden but also in Denmark, I saw lots of girls there wearing these type of trousers. My version is from Zara and I preferred the marineblue one. I discovered that Krizia from Shark Attack has it in beige.

I shopped a LOT in Stockholm and Copenhagen but I only bought myself some basics. Scandinavian fashion is like so basic & simple! I just LOVE the way they are dressing. These blonde girls love to wear all black ensembles which are a beautiful contrast with their hair en tanned skin. It's all about shape. The boys wear lots of stripes, classic trousers and have slick haircuts.

PS: deze broek is ideaal voor de vrouw met de iets bredere heupen of een goei stel billen. Ik vind het zelfs mooier want bij mij vind ik ze niet strak genoeg.

Hello from Norway

Hello my peeties!!

You havent heard from me for a while, sorry for that. We're in Norway now, we've travelled through Denmark and Sweden. Sweden is definitely my favourite country. I love everything about it: the beautiful and friendly people, the nature, STOCKHOLM and the swedish spirit. My visit of Stockholm was just phenomenal. I'll make a little city guide with shopping/restaurant details later. Now we're in a whole different country. We didn't see any Norwegians yet, just tourists, which is really strange. And it's so expensive over here!!!!! Luckely the landscape makes it all worth. Can't describe it, you must see it by yourself. Tomorrow we are heading to Sognefjord, which is the biggest fjord of Norway. Afterwards we're heading to Bergen and then we're turning back home but not without visiting Oslo, Götenborg and Copenhagen first! Hope you guys are doing great too! I'll have to go, have to take care of my bf now who has hurted himself by kicking his leg against a rock, haha, stupid :p. Bye!!!!

The weather is so fucking HOT here in Belgium and we are so not used to it :p. It's difficult to dress up in such high temperature, you just grab your short shorts, a simple top and your slippers. But this dress is quite light and easy too. Add an exotic necklace to spice it up.

Today I'm going on a daytrip to Antwerp with my parents & their friends. To visit the Muka museum and in the evening we have diner at the Italian restaurant where my sister is working. No shopping this time! It's TO HOT! Well, I'm gonna leave now, have a nice sunday peeties! X

PS: o yeah, I don't have the job, they selected 4 out of 14 people and then 1 out of the 4. I'll keep on searching ;). After my road trip! :)

Road Trip to Scandinavia

Hi darlins,

Next tuesday me & my bf are leaving for a road trip to Scandinavia. I love our road trips!!! This one will be for 3 weeks or more. We'll be visiting Denmark (big stop: Copenhagen), then Sweden (big stops: Malmö, Götenborg, Stockholm), then Norway (Oslo, Bergen) and then back to Belgium. We are sleeping in our car (my boyfriend rebuilt the back of our Citroën Berlingo to a multifunctional storage place to a sleeping place for the night. :p genious). We will stay at campings or in the wide nature. I'm soooooo lookin forward to it!

But I have a question for U , dear reader! Please give me all your good shopping/restaurant/musea/must see places adresses & tips for Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and Bergen!!! SHOOT!!!

This is my bf's construction for the car: we sleep on a wooden shelf (on our matresses ofcourse) and below we have lots of storage capacity. Our bikes and camping/scubadiving stuff we'll put on the shelf too.

I spend the last few days at the sea. While my bf went scubadiving with his scubadiving friends, i took a nap, read a book, dabbled a bit in the sea. AAAH so good. We always go to the not crowded (scubadiving) places at the coast of the Netherlands. This dress is so easy and light, the perfect beachwear. My favorite summerfabric is linen, cloth, canvas (how do you call it in english??)

Yesterday I went to my first job-interview. It's about an 'internship' in a little veterinary clinic nearby. A dreamjob to start with. But i've heard there were A LOT of persons who were interested in the job so...i don't set my hopes on it too much. We'll see.

When I was in my first year, I never would have(dared to) guessed that I would graduate as a veterinarian some day! It was a dream.

When people ask me: would you start all over again if you turn back time? Would you do it again?

My answer is: No, never. So much sacrifices, too much tears, competing, failures and misery. Your family and dearests suffer with you. I've lost my soul several times, but I always succeeded to find it back and to stay true to myself.

I would probably now choose something else in the medical sector.

But I AM really proud of what I've achieved.

My dream came true.

And I'm ready for my next challenge in life.

Weer heel spastisch zitten wezen gisteren op het Galgenmaal (ons laatste avondmaal). Twas fantastisch! De filmpjes hilarisch! De mensen ook! love jullie!

Eum ja, zoals je ziet heb ik nog niet veel tijd gehad voor de blog! Ik ben er na de examens eens goed ingevlogen! De vrijdag ben ik gaan shoppen in Oudenaarde met mama. Enorm plezant! Ook veel gekocht :o Een hele zak vol kledij bij Talking French (was 5 euro per stuk! omg) haha. En het terrasje + de gigantische aardbeienmilkshake deden nog het meest deugd. Het was al een eeuw geleden dat ik nog eens een terrasje deed. De zaterdag naar vriendin geweest voor haar verjaardag en erna nog wat rondgelummeld. Zondag de hele dag naart Hollandse Zeetje met de duikclub vant vriendje. Na de clubduik wast bbq mmmm. Het was een ZALIGE dag, pure vakantie. Terug de zon en het zout van de zee op je huid voelen, niets is gelukzaliger denk ik zo. En daarbij eens gewoon niks moeten doen?? wtf ik voelde mij alweer schuldig maar nu niet meer :p. Die dag kwamen we nog toevallig bij iemand op zijn speed-jacht terecht of hoe noem je zo'n boot. Terwijl die met ons rondraasde de wijde oceaan in, deed ik vanvoor een heus titanic-ske. We zijn dan vanop de boot terug naar het strand gezwommen, twater was wel niet zo warm :o. In de terugweg niet gestopt met meekwelen en onnozel doen met deze johnny muziek:

aanstekelijk ze! moet ge ook eens proberen :p. Anyway, morgen DE dag :s:s:s:s jammer dat het pas om 16 u in de namiddag is, dat betekent meer dan een halve dag thuis zitten sterven. Van de namiddag op het programma: chillen en jullie blogjes eens bekijken. Op bloglovin heb ik ondertussen 397 nieuwe posts te bekijken slik...Maar nu beetje eten klaardoen

Ooh I love these girly fragile pieces from the Stella Mccartney collection. She always uses soft colors like vieux rose, whites, nude, ...I love this kind of lingery to wear daily. And that little lingery box! WANT. Isn't that the perfect gift??? (1st picture by the cherry blossom girl).

In dezelfde categorie vind ik ook La Perla, Elle Macpherson en Princesse Tam Tam heel mooi.

Hey lieverdjesss!

Je kunt niet geloven hoeveel ik al kunnen genieten heb van alles in de tijd dat ik nu vrij ben (sinds gisteren half 4)!! Twas een emotionele rollercoaster de voorbije week en ik ben nu denk ik genoeg gehard voor de komende 10 jaar :p. Mijn 'legerdienst' zit er eindelijk op zei mn pa. Vanaf nu denk ik dat het almaar beter zal worden :D en ik heb er ongelooflijk veel zin in. Ik reed gisteren naar huis en op de R4 reed ik weer eens veel sneller dan ik mocht rijden, had mijn raampjes opengedraaid, mn haar alle kanten op, de zon op mn arm brandde (hu?? ik wist totaaaal niet dat het zo warm was?? 4 dagen niet buiten geweest) en ik had weer dat ongeloofelijke gevoel van voldoening. Weer een hoofdstuk afgemaakt. Laten we hopen tenminste. Een firma heeft 2 blauwe kruisen opgestuurd voor op mn auto te kleven. Heb er nog niet durven naar kijken, laat staan ze op mijn auto te kleven, want ik heb geen zin om ze er volgende week weer te staan afschrapen haha dat zou een goeie zijn :p.

Toen ik dan gisteren thuiskwam, was mijn ma zo happy als iets alsook mijn hondje want ze hadden me erg gemist blijkbaar. En toen kwam mijn zoeti dolenthousiast met een veuve clicquot binnengelopen en toen deed ik nog ambetantig tegen hem ook, van moeheid, doh, kieken dat ik was/ben. Waarom doe ik toch altijd zo dwaas tegen diegene die me et liefste zien? Heb me dan herpakt door er eens alles uit te bleiten en het is een hele toffe avond geworden.

Kzal later nog wa meer vertellen over mijn week intern voor degenen die er tegen kunnen. Eigenlijk is dierenarts zijn alleen maar dierenleed zien. En dan zijn er ook nog de ongelooflijk gelukkigste momenten als zien dat je patientje, een golden retriever puppietje waar ik vaste verzorger van was, eerst doodziek lag en dan naart eind al huppelend terug naar huis mocht. Dat beestje volgde mij trouwens overal, man ik was daar zot van.

Nu ga ik shoppen met mijn ma want ik moet dringend iets kleurrijk kopen want ik heb nu een beige topje aan terwijl ikzelf de kleur van een lijk heb, geen goede combinatie. Die fotos hierboven zijn van een zonnige dag ff geleden. Weet je nog toen ik mn oma's kleerkast eens geplunderd heb? Wel dat vestje hierboven is nog van mijn oma geweest!!!! HOW COOL IS THAT. Kvond dat zo schoon, er is ook nog een kleedje bij maar tis 5 x te groot want mijn oma was niet van de magerste. Kga dat ooit eens laten verkleinen. Heb hier gecombineerd met een kleedje dat mijn zus nog liggen had maar nooit aandoet. Tja pech dan doe ik het maar aan.

Nu ga ik jullie laten. Ik leef nu naar 1 juli -de dag dat ik zal sterven van de zenuws-PROCLAMATION DAY- en daarna naar 2 juli -officiële proclamation/uitwuif day, waarop ge enkel kunt aanwezig zijn als je er door bent. Maar eerst nog wat genieten!!!! Jullie blogjes lees ik héél binnenkort, promised!

Ik vind een open rug kleedje zowieso al héél mooi (voorwaarde: genoeg bedeksel van voor ajaaa ge moet toch beetje stof over hebben he :s) maar een openrug kleedje mét schittering maakt het écht af. De ideale partydress!

I really like the yellow coat in collage 3. And the knits in collage 4: I would totally buy the dress in the middle, it's beautiful. The last 2 ladies show the most normal and wearable collection. Gorgeous colorscheme, fabrics and knits. OOoh and there was a doggie modeling too :) a jack russel terrier, the same as my doggie. So cute.

The weather is pretty depressing again in Belgium. But it's the perfect study weather. Today I'm wearing soft colours, with mixed patterns and a little layering. This is one of my favourite skirts. Hi kiddo's!

Haha yes I survived! Alive and kicking. But tired now that all my adrenaline is flowing away. Bedankt voor de bezorgdheid lieverdss! Iets waar ik zo verschrikkelijk erg tegen opzag -ik dacht echt van dit ga ik niet aankunnen- ben ik toch doorgekomen. Ik weet niet maar dan ga ik automatisch in de 'harde modus' en word ik precies een ander persoon die ik zelf niet meer herken. Ik denk dat dat een soort van houding is van , dit moet ik nu doorbijten , tis dat of eronder door. En constant dat dilemma van hmmm gaan de zieke diertjes voor of gaat mijn cursus voor? Een toekomstige dierenarts zou natuurlijk voor de diertjes moeten kiezen maar een toekomstige dierenarts wil ook niet gebuisd zijn en o zo graag afstuderen. Toen ik van wacht was kwam er natuurlijk weer snachts een spoed -had al het voorgevoel-. En dan nog een spoed die niet echt een spoed was yay. Engelse bulldog die last had van ademhaling maar eigenlijk gewoon te dik was of last had van de warmte ofzo. Zalig beest trouwens. Tussen de rondes door zo veel mogelijk proberen studeren (we hadden een soort van beurtensysteem dat al gauw helegans int honderd liep met binnenkomende spoeds :p) en dan de vrijdag naar het examen gegaan en vandaag nog een. Normaal ben ik een persoon die vlak voor het examen nog veel herhaling nodig heeft maja dat kon dus niet. Ik was al heel blij dat ik alles 1 x gelezen had. Het examen RX was smerig als de pest (achteraf tot de bevinding komen dat je beter niks geleerd had want dat er toch geen enkele vraag iets met de cursus te maken had is NIET leuk :p). We kregen slecht afgedrukte röntgenfoto's en echobeelden (op papier! ja ze vooral vreend interpreteerbaar :s) van 4 cm op 4 en dan moesten we zeggen wat de diagnose was. WTF??? Worst exam ever. Maar al een geluk dat niemand er een reet van kon en dat die punten zowieso zullen moeten opgetrokken worden of samengeteld worden met de punten van ortho of ze gaan hun officiele proclamatie met 1 man en een paardekop mogen vieren.

Ok deze week kliniek pluimvee en bijzondere dieren en daarna nog kliniek Orthopedie en daarna nog eens intern. Eerst komende exaam volgende dinsdag (yes eens wat tijd tss) Verloskunde en dan de week erna nog eentje en dan het laatste op 24 juni dat ik ook in mn intern zal mogen blokken. En daarna niekske??? LEEGTE??? man dat zal deugd doen.

Ik had nog een grappige foto van onze groep terwijl we een loodzware berner senner met zn allen aant buiten zetten waren (die moest om de x uur buiten amai mijne rug), maar ze staan nog op mn gsm en ik moet nog eens zo een overzetkabelke kopen. Nu ga ik slapen oooh!!!!

Yeez I feel like a herd of cattle ran over my brain and smashed it to the wall...Mentally Tired. The next few days are going to be..BAD. Have to work in the clinic at my school + 2 exams at the same time. I'll let you know if I survived ;) Hear you on monday, maybe next tuesday.

My sister mailed me the 2nd picture :p. Because she knows I adore poodles. But this poor little thing doesn't look happy. Ofcourse not, a dog detests to get washed and certainly do not want to be put in a scary washing machine in his own!!! Dogs get traumatised thanks to these stupid ideas of their owner! I guess only exists in Japan?

And I posted the 1st picture because I'm still in lo-o-o-ve with the Miu Miu shoes. And it's a good picture too.

Hehe zoals jullie zien heb ik een aantal dingetjes van mn oma gekregen :D. Zoals het kleedje: is écht wow. Die kleuren en stof! Jammer genoeg is het veel te groot en moet ik het laten fixen bij de naaister eerst. Zal nog tijdje duren. Of mss maak ik een rokje uit het onderste deel. Er was ook een soort vestje bij het kleed wat wel past. Maar mijn grootste recente schat is de foto van mama. Wat is ze daar jong. En mooi. Mijn papa moet dit genomen hebben toen ze elkaar nog niet lang kenden. Leuk :). Ga ook eens in jullie grootouders huizen snuffelen --> je vindt er gegarandeerd iets zalig interessant!

Starring 'de karookabba' haha (denk dat enkel oost-vlamingen dit woord gaan snappen ma bon :p). Hmm ff geen zin om in het engels te schrijven. Ze moeten maar nr de prentjes kijken en naar de muziek luisteren. Dit kleedje kreeg ik ooit eens van een collega van mama, het zat in een zak vol kledij die ze niet meer moest hebben. Nu die collega toen nog erg jong was een PRACHTvrouw. Slank, ellenlang zwart sluik glanzend haar, van nature een prachtige bruine huid,...nuja type fotomodel. Ik weet nog dat toen ze trouwde haar trouwjurk helemaal niet van het bombastische soort was die je zoveel zag in die tijd. Nee, gewoon een eenvoudig bodycon wit kanten kort jurkje. Niet meer dan dat. Zo'n jurkjes waar de rekken nu van uitpuilen in H&M en Zara. Alles komt terug. Alles wordt herkauwd met toevoeging van hedendaagse elementen. Dat is wat mode boeiend maakt he. Jammer genoeg zat dat jurkje toen niet in die zak maar wel veel andere leuke dingen: moschino-rokjes, wikkel boleroos, een zwart topje met open rug, een zwarte bloes met cut-out schouders en ik geloof zelfs een levis-shortje. Toen was ik mss 11 jaar, en kon ik niks daarvan dragen natuurlijk. Dit kleedje heb ik gelukkig nooit weggedaan. Altijd al fun gevonden.

Anywayy nu vrijdag mijn eerste examen. En daarna zal het als een sneltrein gaan. Het vak dat ik nu aant blokken ben, wetgeving, is het saaiste wat ik al ooit geblokt heb. En heeft bijzonder weinig met diergeneeskunde te maken. Rechtbanken, hof van beroep, hof van cassatie, eerste aanleg, pf not my cup of tea. Heb er al aan gedacht om mn vriendin die advocate is te sturen in mijn plaats.

Maar het vlot wel dat vak. Raar genoeg. Vandaag eens een tandje bijsteken zodat ik mss vanav er een ander vak kan bijpakken.

Gisteren de hele dag zooo'n mooi weer maar ik kon me pas savonds ontspannen. Ik had al de hele dag zitten verlangen naar een sangria en ik heb er dan gisteren ook 2 zalig lekkere gemaakt vr ik en mn zoeti. Bomvol aardbeien. En dan erna een onverstoorde, lange nachtrust. Meer moet het leven nt zijn in den blok. XXX

Haha i know: another photo from my bed series. This time I'm playing Zorro. Still studying my ass off, nothing new here. I need stories from you! Stories from the world outside, what"s happening in the world? What's happening in your life? Please tell me!

I'm daydreaming a LOT recently...about the days, weeks after june 28 that are coming. When I'll finally be free. About spare time with everyone I love. About my upcoming road trip (so excited, i'll tell you more about it soon). About life without school (pretty scary). About what I'll become and which direction to take.

The only thing I DO know about my future is that I'll buy/adopt a puppy poodle. Havn't decided which color (black,white,abricot) yet. My avatar picture already predicted this, I should have known. My boyfriend isn't that happy with my decision but I know he secretly wants a poodle too hahah. Or at least a doggy. Luckily. But he's too much macho to admit it. NAH. hiih love you hunny.

I'm glad most of you appreciated the Belgian song in my previous post! I'll let you hear 2 belgian other songs to brighten up your sunday. They are more commercial (esp the second one) but verrrry catchy! They're on my musiclist for this summer.

First song is Daan - Icon. He's our Belgian Johnny Cash, or that's what he's called. Maybe you're already familiar with his songs Housewife and Swedish Designer Drugs.

And then the second song is from a young guy (my age!) from Brussels who scored a gigantic hit with this catchy song. If you like french rap/hiphop and a cool beat, then this will be addicting. It screams SUmmer & party. Stromae - Alors on danse.

O yeah another thing, a few days ago when I went shopping for birthday presents I came across this wellknown zara dress. I didn't buy it because i'm in my saving money period and I'm regretting that now! Hope they will make lots of miumiu inspired clothes :) still not tired of this one or this one yet.

Just read that Scott Schuman of the Sartorialist is coming to Belgium tomorrow. He wants to visit Brussels and is giving a booksigningsession in Maasmechelen Village outlet centre. To bad he isn't signing in Ghent :p, then I would be there. but Maasmechelen village??? I mean common, what a shithole! And it's 100 km from Brussels. And it's a boring shopping mall, not a village! Nothing exciting to see for him either, hopefully he gets the chance to visit Brussels or else I think his idea of Belgium will be a bit :s :s :s :p.

For such a huge movie-freak like me, there's not a lot movie content on my blog (or not anymore). This definitely has to change my beebies! So from now on I'll post movie-related content on a regular base. Cause this blog's about what inspires me. And when I think about it...what inspires me the most besides travelling, fashion and good photography?? GOOD MOVIES ofcourse! On the first place!
OOOh there are so many epic scenes saved in my head. A movie can be memorable due to a certain scene or maybe certain quotes or the music, even if the movie isn't that good in general. Yes, now I can truly say...Cinema is what inspires me the most, makes me feel and makes me think. Ever since I was little, I've been 'analysing' movies. I watched 'Festen' and 'Breaking the waves' for the first time when I was like 11 years old :p. And I LIKED them, no shit. I sat through the movie 'Gerry' for the whole 103 minutes WITHOUT getting bored, not even once, no shit! (a normal person would have died of boredom). Maybe there are a few movies I better should have waited with and watch it at an older age. For example, I watched the movie 'Irreversible' quite early maybe too early, cause I was truly SHOCKED. For days. Maybe I should watch it again now, I would be still shocked but it's different you know. I always watch movies at least 3-4 x again with a couple of years in between, sometimes it puts things in a whole other perspective.
The movie theatre = my second home. I especially love the cute, little ones, no crowd, dusty old red chairs and absolute silence. I could sit there for days, weeks, months. (haha kan alweer niet wachten op het filmfestival en mijn favoriete dag van het jaar). And I love eating 'biefstukskes' (sort of candy) while watching a movie in the theatre haha. And mostly I cry (message to myself: choose happy movies instead of depressing ones). I like to watch all kinds of movies but my favorite genres are dogma, arty farty movies, old road movies, melodramas and tragedies, social realism and asian movies (even when they are really crappy, can't get enough of these madmen haha). I absolutely dislike another romantic comedy with let me guess...Jennifer Aniston? This type of movie actually scores pretty good. I'll never get that, but that's just me :s
O god I swear, I would die if cinema died. Can't live without...

Ok that was my ode to the cinema. The pictures above are from a rather unknown movie called 'Bella'. It was a birthday present from Tom, my cinema partner in crime. I really enjoyed watching it and I would recommend it to everybody who loves a sober, subtile movie with a deeper meaning. My score: 3/5

Tijdje geleden een verkleedstokje van Liesel toegeworpen gekregen...

Kmoest erbij lachen eigenlijk want eigenlijk heb ik nog niets anders gedaan op deze blog dan me 'verkleed'. 98% van de outfitfoto's geeft mijn werkelijke outfit weer die ik die dag droeg. 2% is verkleedpartijtje spelen, 1 van mijn lievelingsdingen om te doen, al van kindsaf aan. En kijk, ik ben nog steeds kindje gebleven he. Mijn eerste ingeving toen ik het verkleedstokje kreeg: YAY ik verkleed me als pocahontas ofnee een hippie of nee een vlinderprinses ofnee...Niet kunnen kiezen he, volledig ikke. Dan maar gewoon lukraak wat dingen rondmij samengeraapt en tis een combinatie van alles geworden vrees ik :p. Stokjes dienen natuurlijk om doorgegooid te worden. Eens denken wie er zich ook graag verkleedt? Aha

Trouwens geschoren mannenborstkassen en geschoren andere mannenlichaamsdelen heb ik dus ALTIJD al walgelijk gevonden hé. Tenzij het aap-achtige proporties aanneemt en doorgroeit tot op de rug ofzo. Ge zijt toch een vent voor iets (dus mét haar) was dat nu.

Indien ge een man zijt die dit nu leest, doe eens de test en laat eens een licht stoppelbaardje groeien. Ik verzeker u, ge gaat er nOg aantrekkelijker uitzien dan je waarschijnlijk al bent. Ook voor de vrouwen, ook al zeggen ze van niet. Toch ziet ge er op die manier veel masculiener uit. En mannelijkheid = aantrekkingskracht. De wetten van de natuur en voortplanting zijn toch simpel ze, tzijn wij die alles zo ingewikkeld moeten maken.

DEZE WEEK was HEFTIG!

HEFTIG

Zoals in bewogen, emotioneel, verrassend, onvoorstelbaar, vreemd.

Maandag: Diepe crisis bij het eindelijke besef dat ik serieus uit mijn kot zal mogen komen om alsnog te kunnen slagen in dit laatste jaar. Nog diepere crisis bij het besef dat ik examens en kliniek zal moeten combineren (lees examens doen ergens tussen de soep en de patatten, tussen de spoeds en hospitalisatierondes door). Te weten dat ik al heel veel moeite heb (fysiek en mentaal) met enkel intern staan ZONDER examens.

Dinsdag: Deadline masterproef. Omdat ik op kliniek hospitalisatie stond deze week was het nogal onmogelijk tijd te vinden om het onding naar de drukker te doen. Dan maar 'smorgens vroeg naar de drukker gelopen, daar de mensen wat opgejaagd en geirriteerd met mijn zenuwachtige heen-en weer geschuifel en mijn nijdige blikken op mn horloge. Ik kwam wel schaamtelijk te laat op kliniek maar mijn masterproef was tenminste gedrukt. NET OP HET NIPPERTJE. OPLUCHTING.

Woensdag: Algemeen drama en huilpartijen op de afdeling chirurgie + kliniek op stelten. Ondertussen ikke: nog steeds crisis in mijn hoofd + complete zwakheid. Errover gepraat met mijn persoonlijke studie -en levenscoach (;-)),ouders en vriendje. Opnieuw opluchting. Echter nog steeds kop vol zorgen.

Donderdag: Persoon waarmee ik keiharde ruzie had (zie enkele posts geleden) komt aan mijn kastje 'smorgens, begint te wenen en zegt dat ze me mist en er van afziet. Mijn hart breekt, talrijke knuffels volgen, vergiffenis wordt geschonken en na een lang gesprek kwam ik alWEER schaamtelijk te laat op de kliniek. Doch opgelucht...

A. bijna vermoord door Pieppiep, agressieve kat. Gelukkig kwam E. na een tijdje de kattenstal binnen en kon A. gered worden.

'S avonds: LIPDUB op het liedje 'i gotta feeling' met ons hele jaar ter afsluiting van onze studie. Iedereen verkleed, geschminkt, helegans onnozel doorheen de kliniek dartelen en wachten tot de camera voorbijkomt tot we ons zinnetje kunnen playbacken. Hilariteit alom. Filmpje volgt na vertoning op galgenmaal (laatste avondmaal).

Vrijdag: Alweer drama dit keer op de dienst hospitalisatie (waar ik stond). Iemand van het kuispersoneel werpt mes naar iemand anders van het kuispersoneel na hevige ruzie in voederlokaal. Nu moeten we ook al opletten voor messenwerpers :s.

BH (=bekende hond) gehospitaliseerd. Geparalyseerde hond van Jean-Claude Van Damme. Hij (de hond) zat in een rolstoeltje met army-motief whaaaah cute!

Evaluatie papieren aan de advalvas: opluchting na lezen van goed resultaat naast mijn naam.

Zaterdag: blij dat het eindelijk weekend is.

Hi hunnies,

Yesterday it was my birthday! I got so much nice text messages, birthday cards and presents :). Thank you so much. But today is the real 'party'. I'm gonna cook diner togheter with my bf for my friends, hope it will be a wonderful evening.

Wow, this is an old one :). Let me introduce you to my pumpkin Peem, if you didn't know him already. He is doing this silly tric, which I teached him, called 'Hop' (that's like 'Jump' in Dutch), but he hates doing the tric hahahah and he hates the cookie too. He's so weird :p. Don't mind my baby-voice, I'm always talking like that to my doggie. Come to think about it , I DO have a childish voice actually.

Hi hunnies! I'm so sorry for the lack of blogposts. I'm so busy with school right now...cause the most difficult time of the year will start soon! Final Exams...yes. And if I pass, then I'll finally be graduated. I hope my wish comes true.

Anyway, not much to say really. Nothing fashion-related. Except for the fact that I urgently need to reorganise and clean out my closet. It's a real dump, or is it getting to small? Maybe I'll have to sell some clothes.

My sister purchased 2 new pieces at stocksales in Antwerp. A denim shirt and black booties from Sessun. I'll show a picture later, I hope she let me borrow them once in a while ;).

Hope you enjoyed this beautiful sunny weekend. I know I did :)...between my breaks from work. Tonight me and my bf are going to watch the sunset. Wrapped in a blanket, drinking beer and having long talks.

What a nice & sunny weekend! Everybody looks so much more happy these days! Yesterday my sister came home!! That means lots of giggling and funny conversations. She's so sweet lately. Actually she's the best. And my ideal shoppartner in crime. We decided to make a quick stop at our local secondhand store where I bought this floral beauty. Nice skirt with a liberty print, I think I once spotted a similar one at Urban Outfitters. I also bought a blouse which I'll show you later.

I have this strange habbit to immediately match a new piece with the other pieces in my closet :p

After I came home from the clinic, I quickly showered (again...that pathology smell makes me crazy), made and easy high bun and threw on this comfortable jumper & my good old All Stars converses. A lay back outfit for wandering around the house. Tonight's another friend his birthday party. It's the perfect weather for working in the garden these days. I'm sure I'm gonna be a real gardenfreak when I'll have my own garden. The best part of gardening is planting new flowers and herbs. Worst part: the weeding! I want my own herbs (love their scent!!) and vegetables. With cute little tags.

WAARSCHUWING: inhoud niet voor gevoelige zielen

Vroeger dacht ik dat enkel boeddhisten aan niks konden denken. Die denken vaak aan niets. Je moet dat trouwens eens proberen: eens aan niets denken. Gaat niet hé. Je denkt toch altijd aan iéts. Maar de laatste tijd betrap ik mezelf er vaak op dat ik dus werkelijk minutenlang aan niets zit te denken. In mijn auto vooral. Als ik van school kom. Plots sta ik dan haast thuis en herinner ik me niks van de route die ik zonet genomen had. Had ik dan de hele tijd op automatische piloot gereden? Je kan dat gevaarlijk noemen. En inderdaad bij veel dingen die ik uitvoer denk ik tegenwoordig niet meer na. Zo niet mij. Vroeger dacht ik over àlles àlles àlles. Ik had OVERAL m'n mening over.

Ik ben bang, beste mensen, dat ik afgestompt raak. M'n grootste vrees ever is dat ik afgevlakt raak, niet meer kan voelen. Ook mijn gevoel vr empathie lijk ik te verliezen. De dingen lijken mij niet meer te deren en alles lijkt zomaar aan mij voorbij te gaan. Het is al een tijdje geleden dat ik nog eens bij iets stil gestaan heb. Damn, en nochtans ik HAAT oppervlakkigheid. Maar dat is wat ik momenteel ben: oppervlakkig.

Ik heb al twee weken pathologie. Dit betekent elke voormiddag in een grote donkere snijzaal beestjes aan flarden snijden en elke namiddag ruiken naar formol en rot vlees. Ok ik vertel het mss te wreed: elke voormiddag beestjes autopseren om een doodsoorzaak te vinden. Ik ben nog blij dat ik het bij kleine huisdieren mag houden. Het fijnere werk. De rest is slagerswerk. Na 7 jaar op lijken te staan klooien, is ook hier alles een routine geworden. De laatste stap van de autopsie, het onthoofden en scalperen, vond ik vroeger toch echt iets walgelijk. Ik stond altijd te denken: moest iemand zò aan mijn overleden hond z'n hoofd staan te rukken, ik vermoord die. Nu sta ik zelf als een halvegare aan zo'n hoofd te rukken. Das trouwens géén sinicure, om het hoofd eraf te krijgen. Als het na veel gepruts niet lukt, hebben we nog altijd de Johan, de man van het zwaardere werk, de redder in nood. Hij scalpeert ook de hoofden met zijn speciale zaagmachine. Een levensgevaarlijke machine. Ik heb al eens geteld, de Johan heeft nog al zijn vingers, sjiek sjiek. Maare dus, vroeger als 1ste/2de master nog blij als we om 10 u wegmochten en dat werkje dus niet moesten doen. Nu stond ik daar met zo'n kopje klaar om aan Johan te geven. Ik sta nochtans al twee weken daar met zo'n kopje. En plots, vanmorgen begon er een stem out of the blue megaluid in mijn hoofd te schreeuwen: "WHAT THE HELL sta ik hier met het kopje van Fifi in mijn handen???" "Waar zijt ge gvd mee bezig????". Ik zag Johan een beetje raar kijken, volgens mij moet ik heel kwaad naar hem gekeken hebben. Tot ik weer heel gefascineerd kwam door een abnormaliteit in de hersenen van het koppeke.

Maar toch stond ik er dus weer ffkes bij stil, wat goed is. Wat niet goed is, is immuun worden aan zo'n dingen. Aan bloed bijvoorbeeld ofzo. Dat is geen horror voor mij. Dan zie ik elke dag horror. Er is zo iets zo iets horror aan onze afvoerputjes in de snijzaal. Het moet toch allemaal ergens naartoe vloeien he. Wel als er massaal veel bloed van zo'n verbloed paard ofzo in zo'n putje vloeit dan overstroomt er terzelfdertijd een ander putje aan de andere kant van de snijzaal. Precies een bloedfonteintje haha en zo *borrel borrel*. Ik zweer het, dé lokatie voor een goede horrorfilm.

Of het slachthuis! Een vriendin-collega-dierenarts heeft onlangs een enorme snee in haar kin opgelopen. Van uit te schieten met een mes toen ze aant keuren was. Nadat er een paar dode veeartsen waren bij het keuren, hebben ze nu van die metalen 'harnasjes' ter beschikking om u lichaam te beschermen. De helft gebruikt dat natuurlijk niet he. Dom. Maarja je kan moeilijk zo een harnas over u hoofd trekken he. Tis zou nochtans niet slecht zijn, ge ziet het wat er van komt.

Anywayyyy! Derna was het dus les. Saai én een emotionele uitputtingsslag omdat ik&mn vriendin nog steeds ruzie hebben met een andere vriendin. Er zijn weer vieze blikken en grove woorden uitgedeeld :s. En dan kom je dus leeg en hersenloos thuis. En dan ziet ge weer die stapel boeken liggen die u bijna opeten. En dan MOET MOET MOET ik eerst een uurtje naar mijn ondertussen grijsgedraaide cd van the strokes luisteren. Naar nummertje 3, I don't feel better when I'm fucking around. Of naar nummertje 5, on the other side on the other side noone is waiting for me, I hate them all, I hate them all, I hate myself for hating them. Dat zijn zinnetjes eruit he, niet de titels. En dan kan ik mijn kwaadheid (?die van ? komt) daarin kwijt. En dan denk ik:

Julian Casablancas trouw met mij enzo. Muziek heelt. Bloggen heelt :). En dan ben ik weer genezen, heb ik terug gevoel. En dan mag de volgende dag terug aanbreken.

As you all know, I went completely bananas when I saw the new Miu Miu collection!! As a matter of fact, I think half of the female population went completely bananas over this collection. The flower, kitty and swallow shoes are my favorites. The problem here is that the shoes are rare (not all shoes went in production) and they are fucking waaaaayyy too expensive. I can't afford them. And then there are those crafty, genious girls among us who simply create their own Miu Miu shoes. Great job!

Aangezien ik deze week opnieuw int stad moest zijn om T-shirts voor mama te kopen (dezelfde als de mijne zie vorige post) vlug eens langs de Zara Home en Zara gepasseerd. Man man, in de Zara Home ist niet meer normaal. Ik denk dat ze daar niet meer door die vensters kunnen zien van mijn gedrewl :p. Er stond een opgemaakt bed met de nieuwe collectie beddengoed en ik zou er zo ingesprongen zijn en er een eeuw in geslapen hebben -ofnee tot de examentijd over was-.

En dan in de Zara viel ik als een steen voor dit rokje. Het voelt zo zacht als een teddietje omdat er zijde in verwerkt zit. En het fladdert zo vrolijk als een vlindertje rond je benen omdat het zo'n licht stofje is. Heerlijk. In H&M kocht ik dan ook nog deze ketting.

ENGLISH: Anyway...Yesterday I made my first milkshakes this year and they were DELICIOUS. I'll make one again today, when I'll take a break from writing my masters thesis. Speaking of...I'm really fascinated by my subject this time, it's making more progress then I thought it would make. But still there is a long way to go, I'll better start working now. Yesterday I left the clinic quite early and decided to go on a little shopping spree. I needed some basics. The weather was good and people enjoyed their drinks and snack outside in the sun. Oh I love Ghent even more when it's sunny. Toting around the old city center is one our (bf & I) favourite things to do.

I bought these 3 t-shirts (the red & greyish blue one in H&M: 7,95 euros and the striped one is from pimkie 12,95 euro). All 3 have the kind of sleeves I was searching for.
